2026 Utah Rally for Mental Health and Addiction Recovery

USARA and NAMI Utah host the 18th Annual Rally for Recovery
When: Thursday, February 26, 2026
Where: Utah Capitol Rotunda
Who: Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness (USARA) and
National Alliance on Mental Illness Utah (NAMI) - Utah
What: The 18th Annual Rally for Recovery is held annually during Utah’s 2026 Legislative Session to elevate recovery from mental health and substance use disorders as a public health priority. Hundreds of Utahns will gather in the Capitol Rotunda — including individuals in recovery, family members, healthcare and behavioral health professionals, community advocates, and legislators — united in raising their voices to support recovery, strengthen community, and promote the well-being of all Utahns.
Why: Critical decisions about state policy and funding directly impact individuals, families and communities affected by mental health and substance use disorders. Every voice matters. Far too many Utahns continue to lose their lives due to co-occurring health conditions, overdose, and suicide. We must act together to prevent further loss of life. Expanding access to prevention, healthcare, treatment, recovery supports, and stable housing are proven strategies that improve mental and physical health outcomes — and save lives.
4:00 PM: Walk to Remember - Honoring Loved Ones and Friends Lost The walk will begin outside on the south stairs of the Utah State Capitol. Attendees will walk once around the Capitol grounds and return, entering the east doors of the Capitol building.
4:30 PM - 6:00 PM: Rally for Recovery Held in the Capitol Rotunda - Advocates for Recovery and Utah Legislators will speak at the event.
