Youth MOVE Summit

Youth MOVE Utah is a youth-led chapter of the national organization, Youth MOVE National. Our chapter is dedicated to training and empowering young adults to use their story to eliminate stigma and advocate for change in the social service system.

The Summit is a conference for emerging leaders to receive training on leadership, advocacy and wellness. The Summit is open for young adults in Utah, aged 16-26, who have lived experience in the systems of mental health, substance abuse, juvenile justice and foster care.

July 16-17th at the SLC downtown library (210 east 400 south)

Thurs July 16 1pm-5pm & Friday July 17 9am-4pm

Registration: $15 (registration includes breakfast and lunch on Friday and all activities) 


Limited travel scholarships available


To qualify for a hotel room and/or mileage reimbursements young adults need to:

1.) Live at least 50 miles away from downtown SLC

2.) Register for the Summit as a young adult 

3.) Attend both days of the conference for the full times

Mileage will be reimbursed roundtrip at the rate X.36/per mile, according to the Utah Family Coalition’s standard policy. Mileage reimbursements will be mailed to each attendee as a check two weeks after the Summit event.

Hotel rooms will be shared, with two of the same sex young adults in each room. If you know other young adults who will be attending, we will try our best to room you together.

Please note, if you sign-up to receive a free hotel room and DO NOT attend or provide at least 72 hours’ notice you will be unable to attend any summit hosted by Youth Move Utah in the future.
