NAMI Young Adults Events and Activities

Events and Activities

The Events and Activities branch of NAMI Young Adults is a place to get involved in public, social, and service event planning.

  • Public events cater to a wide variety of people and raise awareness while providing fun and meaningful experiences. Examples of public events include concerts or outdoor movies.
  • Social events happen within the organization and help NAMI Young Adults become more unified and provide an opportunity to have fun. These events include hikes, bowling nights, laser tag and the like.
  • Service events are volunteer-based events that provide young adults the opportunity to interact with their community while promoting their cause. The service event planning branch identifies and plans service projects and works with other organizations to provide volunteers.

Events and Activities provides a lot of great opportunities for young adults to test out their planning and organizational skills while also developing meaningful community ties. Responsibilities include event coordination, working with NAMI Voices for event promotion and recruiting volunteers.
