NAMI Young Adults

Welcome!

We’d like to offer you a warm welcome to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Young Adult, Utah! It is our goal to empower and connect young adults through events and activities, advocacy, social media, on-campus clubs, and mental health programs and support. We hope you’ll join us to create a thriving and motivated force to make a difference.

What is the National Alliance on Mental Illness?

“NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.” (www.nami.org)

Who is NAMI Young Adults?

We’re a group of young adults who are passionate about mental health, community, and volunteering.  We seek to bring together those who have had experience with mental health conditions and all who care about the cause. We reach out, we listen and we speak up.

Mission Statement: To creatively engage young adults in partnership with NAMI Utah to make a better tomorrow for individuals with experience with mental health conditions and instill the belief that recovery is possible.

Values: We’re about individual empowerment through advocacy, support, service, leadership, accessibility and community involvement.

Promise: We will always offer innovative outlets for involvement to create positive change in the world of mental health through inclusivity and understanding.

What do we do?

We’re active, motivated young adults who are determined to make a positive change in the world of mental health. We use our voices, programs, events and activities to advocate for change. Also, we sometimes come together just to have fun with likeminded people. There are plenty of ways to get involved so check out our calendar for upcoming events. We’re looking forward to working with you!
